IMO the patch applies something that causes the total loss of write permission rights to some crucial files. From your Downloads folder, open the Omnisphere 2 Installation folder and then the folder called Windows. Trying to change that results in an error: "Error executing security information on: c\programdata\spectrasonics\omnisphere.exe Error counting objects in Container, Access not granted" I have no freaking idea what to do next. I see that for this file no permission rights are granted. I can not change the extended permission rights anyhow. I found that c\programdata\spectrasonics\omnisphere.exe is one of those foul cases. error message: "no write permission" Countermeasures done (still without success) - deactivate UAC - Run Installer / Omnisphere as admin - tried also in compatibility mode WIN8 / Win7 - did everything I could find on google to change the permission rights (here we come closer to the problem IMO) Right click, change to full permission for all (computer, sys, users, all) is partly possible, but then I realized that there is something within that still has no permission for all. Long version: - German Version WIN10 圆4 - Steam Foler located on different Disk, shortcut created under programdata (seems to work, as I overcame the error where omni couldn't find the steam folder) - Installation, patching both dll with success, authorizing via response code ok. Short version: Installation works, authorization via KG after patching both dll is ok, BUT the very common "write permission" error but not to overcome in my case. Going crazy for the last two weeks and no solution in sight, I hope you can point me to the right direction. Interesting the only internet in my city has data caps of either 150GB or 250GB a month, and the fastest net I can get is only 8Mb/s down, 2Mb/s up (This is because the city gave one company the only rights to put net infrastructure) So I end up with like 600KB/s Download rate max with a data cap of 250GB a month.Pirate, I ran into a problem installing your recent omnisphere complete 2.6.1 release, as this one. Actually you could try talking with your ISP and see if they could maybe offer you a deal or something to help you out, no need to be hostile at me though. I'm just saying if you really enjoy playing games online, you might want to look into finding an ISP that doesn't have a cap. You can do whatever you want with your data, at least until you hit your cap. Originally posted by BloodravenD:Well, I don't know about where you live, but almost every ISP I've heard of doesn't have a cap on data, at least not Cable, Dsl, or Fios. The time that the download takes is not the insulting part, it's the fact that when you think you're done, you're downloading the same amount all over again! Scew that! it's totally insulting to the people who have limited bandwith connexions who have to say: "alllright, 9 gigs is enough for my gaming for the rest of the month"Īnd don't say "upgrade to a better connexion" cuz it's not everywhere that you can get unlimited internet. Have fun with the next patch! so you mean that the 9 gigs download for the game when you decide to try it is totally normal to be followed by another 9 gigs download from the "updater"? The launcher is where you download all the patches and stuff. If not, then why are you even playing this game? Oh, and just an fyi: the Steam downloader is outdated, so it only downloads the base files essential to the game. Simple, no? If yes, then quit complaining. So if download time is that much of an issue for you, here are some tips: Oh, and here's the best part: it's only gonna get bigger as time goes by. ![]() Originally posted by ^1E^7T^1I^7| ^1Cracker:The explaination here is quite simple: It's an FPSMMO.
